A CmpE team, composed of Heysem Kaya, Furkan Gürpınar, Sadaf Afshar, and Albert Ali Salah got the second place in the video based emotion recognition category of the 3. Emotion Recognition in the Wild (EmotiW) Challenge, organized as a satellite to ACM ICMI in Seattle, with a work entitled "Contrasting and Combining Least Squares Based Learners for Emotion Recognition in the Wild". 75 teams participated in the EmotiW challenge this year.
