Learning complex tasks which require dexterous manipulations is a very challenging task in robotics. This issue is getting importance as robots are used in human environment and industrial areas.
Serve: See – Listen – Plan – Act project enables human-robot interaction by speech recognition and object detection. Baxter which is our robot listens for commands and sees its environment with the Kinect camera attached to its waist. According to the given command, Baxter exhibits an appropriate action on the environment by adapting the dynamic changes in the environment.
Communication is an important feature of HCI systems. Speech Emotion Recognition aims to focus on the emotional part of communication. When recognition is based only on voice, emotion recognition is still a challenging issue. Speech Emotion requires a set of operation such as feature extraction, training, and classification. In this paper, i am glad to share these steps of my project. In conclusion, we will be able to see the results for different feature selections and classifiers.
Molecular communication is a biologically inspired networking paradigm for communication among biological nanomachines. In molecular communication, molecules are used to encode and to decode, rather than electrons or electromagnetic waves. Nanomachines are made of biological materials, so they cannot recognize traditional communication means (i.e., electrons or electromagnetic waves).
Open academic data such as course syllabi and degree programs are very valuable and need to be preserved in time stamped fashion. InterPlanery File System (IPFS) can be used for distributed storage of files. Ethereum blokchain based smart contracts can be used to keep time stamped records of academic data and provide mechanisms for citing such data.
This project consists of understanding the capabilities of an ethernet device, learning how to use these capabilities and integrating these capabilities to a Real Time Operating System. We used TMS570LS3137, a microcontroller that is manufactured by Texas Instruments. We integrated the driver on GIS operating system, which is a real time operating system developed by TUBITAK-BILGEM. We implemented basic functionality for the device, such as sending packets, receiving packets; then bound these functions to a GIS driver structure. Then registered this driver to the system.
The aim of the text summarization is to extract the most important pieces of information from the text. Another substantial aim is to summarize the text with consistent, representative information. Summaries by hand have been quite successful. However, creation of summaries by hands is not possible because of huge amounts of text data. Thus, it is necessary that the text data is summarized automatically. Automatic text summarization enables users to gain brief, consistent and representative summaries.
As social media has become widespread, it is increasingly used as a way of gathering and conveying information about news and controversial issues. To prevent false information/rumours from spreading or verify them immediately, there is a need for rumour classification system. This work focuses on stance classification towards rumours and rumour verification on Twitter. It utilizes a deep learning model on stance classification and supervised learning models on rumour verification.
