Implementing AI for Predictive Maintenance in 3D Printing

Implementing AI for Predictive Maintenance in 3D Printing

Description:

This project focuses on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to predict maintenance needs in industrial robots, with a specific interest in three-dimensional (3D) printers. Considering the frequent issues encountered with FDM printers, the research will explore the integration of various sensors to collect data and physically simulate errors. By analyzing this data, the project aims to develop predictive models that can anticipate potential failures and maintenance requirements, thereby reducing downtime and increasing efficiency. The project will examine different AI methodologies, sensor technologies, human-in-the-loop methods, and manual or simulated approaches to create a comprehensive system for predictive maintenance and error prevention in 3D printing.

Skills required: 3D printing, machine learning
