Disaster Information Management (DRM) Platform

Disaster response management (DRM)calls for urgent and correct action. Each disaster is different regarding its conditions, such as those stemming from the location and season of the disaster. The initial and immediate responses are geared towards life preservation. The 2023 earthquake and expected future such disasters make information management a crucial task.

Effective response calls for access to quality information. This project involves understanding the significant information and capturing it in an easily processable manner to support the coordination efforts for responders. This will be a domain-specific application, as opposed to a message board, which means that the system will know about disasters and needs.

An earlier project focused on capturing the requirements for DRM. In this project, you will validate the requirements and develop a prototype. We intend to connect with individuals and teams related to disaster response.

Depending on the scope, this could be a Cmpe491 as well.
