Installing Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0

Acrobat Reader 5.0 install information for PC users

Click here to load the installation program from the CD. A dialogue box will open, where you should tick the box for 'Run this program from its current location', click on 'OK' and then follow the instructions on the screen. If you encounter problems, then you should install the file manually using the instructions below.

Using Windows Explorer, browse to the CD and locate a folder called 'acroread'. Open this folder, and then open the folder marked 'Win'. Double-click on the file inside to run the Windows installer. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the program.

System requirements for Windows

Intel® Pentium® processor
Microsoft® Windows® 95 OSR 2.0, Windows 98 SE, Windows Millennium, Windows NT® 4.0 with Service Pack 5, or Windows 2000
64 MB of RAM
24 MB of available hard-disk space
Additional 70 MB of hard-disk space for Asian fonts (optional)
