Currently
I am working as a postdoctoral researcher (remote) at Institute
of Theoretical and Applied Informatics, Polish Academy of
Sciences in Quantum Systems of Informatics Group. I obtained
my Ph.D. degree from Boğaziçi
University Computer Engineering Department under the supervision
of Prof. Dr. Cem Say
in 2019. I received my B.S. degree in Mathematics in 2011 and my M.S.
degree in Computer Engineering in 2013 from Boğaziçi University. I
worked as a teaching assistant at Boğaziçi University between
2011-2019 and as an instructor at Özyeğin University Computer
Engineering Department between 2019-2021.
My
research area is quantum computing; quantum optimization, quantum
annealing and NISQ era algorithms in particular. During my Ph.D., I
was mainly interested in automata theory and formal languages,
computational complexity, and decidability.
I am a founding member and one of the coordinators of QTurkey,
the first quantum technologies community in Turkey. I am also a board
member and one of the coordinators of the QEducation Department under
QWorld.
